CHICAGO SOCIETY GIRL WITH CADDO — Another unknown girl has been taken to filmdom’s heart, and has a chance to become famous. That is, she is unknown so far as film fame is concerned. Chicago society is another matter. For Jean Harlow, 19 years of age, Chicago society girl, has been signed to a long-term contract by the Caddo company.
Miss Harlow is to begin her screen career by playing the feminine lead opposite Ben Lyon and James Hall in “Hell’s Angels”, the $3,000,000 Howard Hughes aviation film.
Miss Harlow was one of many actresses tried out for the role, we are informed. The character will be the part which Greta Nissen originally portrayed in the silent version. Ben Lyon, knowing Miss Harlow, invited her to go with him to the Caddo studios, where she was given a screen test.
