A frosty temperature on the Santa Fe station brickwalk, Sunday night failed to deter Jean Harlow, platinum blonde who attained film fame in “Hell’s Angels”, from a brisk promenade in black-and-white satin lounging pajamas. A heavy coat of mink fur was part of her costume, true enough, but strong men shivered in sympathy and women gazed jealously.
Mama Harlow, accompanying her precocious daughter eastward on the “Chief”, was not to be outdone and promenaded at an equally fast gait in an opposite direction while Jean kept two Hollywood officials breathing heavily.
