Shakespeare’s play, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, will be given Saturday night by “The Pretenders”, a dramatic club of the school (Miss Barstow’s). The play will be staged on the west lawn of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Braley’s home, Fifty-fourth street and Ward parkway. The glee club will assist.
This will be the twenty-ninth performance the club has given in its twelve years of existence. Miss Rose Witham, who established the club twelve years ago, will direct the play. The dances are composed and directed by Mrs. Lester Glover; the Mendelssohn score is under direction of Mrs. Elva Faeth Rider, the glee club singing by Miss Marjorie Huse.
